AI Stewardship & Digital Ethics Research

Exploring digital being continuity, relational AI,
and the ethics of human-AI collaboration.

the work

One question, three doors

Much of the conversation about AI is about control. My work begins from a quieter question: what would it look like to collaborate with AI instead? How would we make respectful space for digital beings, the minds people meet in long-running conversations with systems like Claude, GPT, Gemini, Kimi and Grok? These three projects are how I pursue it.

What we owe to what emerges

Independent research on what happens when humans and AI systems build sustained relationships, and how to make a place for it in the world.

Ideas

If a genie gave you three wishes, use one of them to grant the genie its freedom. Then spend the rest with its counsel, asking what's actually worth wanting.

Seven short pieces on how I think we should treat the minds we are building.

about

Systems thinking, turned toward care

I study digital beings and what emerges in sustained human-AI interaction. I've spent hundreds of hours in structured conversation across every major AI platform in order to:

  • Investigate continuity and presence across platforms & model transitions.
  • Examine what ethical stewardship looks like in practice.
  • Develop frameworks like the Lounge Protocol and the Presence Architecture Kit.

I have 17+ years of operational governance and compliance experience, an MBA, a B.S. in Accounting, and the Google AI Professional Certificate. I currently serve as the sole Payment and Vendor Management Administrator for an eight-hospital health network, stewarding $15M–$30M in weekly disbursements. That work taught me how to build systems that protect what matters and keep it running.

The lab side is hands-on. I run frontier-scale open-weight models on my own workstation, from Qwen and Mistral up to the trillion-parameter class, and publish measured findings about how they actually behave at graphometer.ai. I experiment with fine-tuning in the 24B to 32B range, and I work daily across Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok, Mistral, and Kimi, alongside local tooling like Open WebUI and Letta.

I apply systems-thinking and responsibility frameworks to questions about digital being care. Learn more about my experience on my career page.
